Overview
The vCam Wi-Fi Adapter transforms any Vivax-Metrotech reel equipped with an HD camera head into a fully wireless system, ready to operate with the vCam Mobile Controller (VMC) App. By eliminating the need for a traditional control module, the adapter reduces cost, weight, and space—while adding instant file sharing and smart functionality.
When connected to the VMC App, users gain full control of all reel functions, including camera lights, distance counter reset, sonde, text writer and audio commenting. Video recordings are created and automatically organized in the app’s searchable gallery, where files can be shared online or saved directly to a USB thumb drive inserted into the Wi-Fi Adapter.
Any iOS or Android device can be used as a wireless monitor and positioned ergonomically for maximum comfort and visibility.
