VMMap Web Update Version 2.23.0
VMMap Web v2.23.0 improves map interaction, reporting and exported data, RTK survey review, Walk Back setup, and support for vScan SE. The release also corrects several issues that could affect how survey information was displayed.
Highlights
• Clearer survey maps: Updated marker styles make it easier to identify points that contain features, observations, pictures, or comments.
• Improved RTK information: Additional RTK reference-station and accuracy fields are available for review and export.
• More reliable reports and exports: Missing headers and report fields have been added, and several displayed values have been corrected.
• Easier Walk Back setup: Locator selection now includes search, and VMMap confirms when a point has been added to Walk Back.
• New vScan-SE support: vScan-SE data is now included in the Reports pages, and users can search for a vScan by serial number in the locator filter.
Map and Survey Review Improvements
Survey maps are now easier to read and navigate:
• Map markers are slightly larger and use distinct variations when a point contains survey features, observations, pictures, or comments.
• Standalone feature records and ML records now show when pictures or comments are attached.
• Archived and deleted surveys, and deleted survey points, are shown in grey to make their status clear.
• Marker information opens when the user hovers over or clicks a marker. The pop-up appears above the marker so it does not obscure the selected location.
• Selecting a log point in the Survey Details table enlarges its map marker for easier identification.
• Map zoom and point selection are preserved after a comment is edited or deleted.
• Marker selection has been improved, including clicks within the marker’s surrounding transparent area.

Reports and Data Exports
This release improves the completeness and accuracy of reports and CSV/XLS exports:
• Missing export column headers and log-header fields have been added or corrected.
• Calibration Date and Self-Test Date are now included in Survey Details reports for supported locator models other than vScan.
• The Tilt column calculation has been corrected.
• The Number of Points shown for grouped surveys has been corrected.
• The Deleted On field is displayed only for records that are currently deleted. Restored records no longer show an old deletion date in the user interface.
• The term Restore now replaces Undelete throughout VMMap for clearer wording.
Additional RTK and LOC3 Data
The following fields have been added to improve RTK survey review and exported data:
• Distance to Reference Station — calculated from the RTK reference-station coordinates using the same calculation method as the locator.
• RTK reference-station X, Y, and Z values in the applicable LOC3 data columns.
• SD Semi-Major Axis and SD Semi-Minor Axis values, which provide additional information about the horizontal accuracy estimate recorded with the point.
Walk Back
• Users can search for a locator when selecting a device for Walk Back, which is especially helpful for companies managing a large locator fleet.
• VMMap now displays a confirmation at the top right of the page after a log point is successfully added to Walk Back.
vScan Dashboard Behavior
Automatically Split Surveys is now disabled by default for new vScan Dashboard users. It can still be enabled when the customer’s survey workflow requires it.
Corrected Issues
VMMap v2.23.0 corrects the following customer-visible issues:
• A survey-location pop-up could fail to appear on the map.
• A connecting line from a previously opened survey could remain visible when a different survey was opened.
• Selecting Cloud Status could redirect the user to a blank page.
• The comment field in Survey Details could be cut off when the map was displayed at a narrow width.
• Some tooltips did not display or behave correctly.
• Map selection could appear to be lost after a point was deleted or a comment was changed.
Notifications and Platform Update
• In-app notifications have been updated with clearer information, success, and error message styles.
• VMMap Web has been updated to Angular 22 to keep the web platform current and support continued maintenance and development.
